Rejected Status

Short sale workout requests that show in Rejected status have been reviewed and decisioned as rejected by the Freddie Mac team. You will receive a notification in Resolve once a final decision (either Approved or Rejected) has been made on the request.

Freddie Mac will provide the justification for why the request could not be approved in the Comments section on the Details page. You should review the comments in the request to determine why it was rejected.

Once the request changes to Rejected status, there is no further action to take in Resolve. You can evaluate the borrower for another type of workout, if applicable. 

If the Request was Submitted Through: Then:
Resolve Liquidation API

Your response file will indicate that the workout has been decisioned as Rejected.

Note: In Review and Info Requested requests will move to Rejected status if you have contacted Freddie Mac to request a cancellation prior to a final decision (either Approved or Rejected) being made on the request.
