Flex Modification Exception Review requests that indicate a Rejected status when the request was reviewed and decisioned (i.e. denied) by the Freddie Mac analyst. You will receive a notification of the decision.
Freddie Mac will provide the justification for why the request could not be approved in the Comments section on the Flex Modification Workout Details page. You should review the comments in the request to determine why it was rejected.
Once the request changes to Rejected status, there is no further action to take for the Flex Modification workout request. You can evaluate the borrower for another type of workout option in Resolve, if applicable (e.g., Short Sale requests). However, if the product is not currently available in Resolve® (e.g., Deed-in-Lieu of Foreclosure) submit a cancellation request via API or UI submission to make the loan available in Workout Prospector.
Rejected Request Workflow
Note: In Review and Info Requested requests will move to Rejected status if you have contacted Freddie Mac to request a cancellation prior to a final decision being made on the request.
