The Workout Approval Request (WAReq) is submitted after successful completion of a Trial Period Plan to determine the final modification terms.
Review Section 9206.10 of the Freddie Mac Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide (Guide) for information on determining the terms of the final modification agreement.
A workout approval request is submitted through the Resolve® user interface (UI) or Retention application programming interface (API) submission paths for Flex Modification products:
For UI users, the request for a workout approval can be submitted via the Details page or Upload Flex Modification Submissions through the UI. Key data and workout statuses can be viewed on the dashboard and on the Details page.
For API users, Workout Approval requests can be submitted via the API. Key data and workout statuses can be viewed and monitored via the dashboard and the Details page.
Note: Any subsequent actions (e.g., Workout Approval (WAReq)) can also be completed through the UI. Decision and applicable data are included in the response file to the Servicer.
Follow the steps below to submit a request for Workout Approval.
1. From the dashboard, click the Freddie Mac loan number hyperlink to open the Details page.
2. Click the ACTIONS button at the top right of the Details page to request workout approval.
3. The pop-up box "Warning: Status Change" displays with a message that the workout status will move from Approved for Trial Period to Workout Approved. Are you sure you want to proceed? Click CONFIRM & PROCEED or CANCEL to cancel the workout request and remain on the Details page.
