Cancelled Status
A short sale workout request can be in a Cancelled status if Freddie Mac has previously approved the request, but settlement has not yet occurred (e.g., buyer walks, financing fell through, etc.).
Requesting a Cancellation for a Short Sale Workout
Your process for requesting a short sale cancellation will depend upon how the workout request was originally submitted to Freddie Mac. Requests can be submitted via the Resolve Liquidation API or directly through Resolve.

Cancelled Request Workflow
A short sale workout request can be cancelled after the request has been decisioned and is in an Approved status.
