Request an Exception Review: Settlement Requests

There are two methods for uploading an exception review request for short sale settlement requests originally submitted through Resolve's user interface:

1. Resubmit the Loan File Template for the settlement request with the Exception Review Indicator as a 'Y' to submit to Freddie Mac as an exception request. Refer to the Upload Short Sale Submissions help section for additional guidance on uploading short sale settlement requests.
2. Request an exception review through the Details page in Resolve. Refer to the process steps below.

 

Follow the steps below to request an exception review through Resolve's user interface for a request that is in INELIGIBLE FOR SETTLEMENT status:

1. From the Details page, select the  button from the top right side of the page. An "Are You Sure?" pop-up window displays. 

2. From the "Are You Sure?" pop-up window, enter comments as applicable and select either the CONFIRM SUBMIT or CANCEL button.  

Select:	To:
	Submit the exception review request to Freddie Mac.  The Details page displays the following: A green banner message confirming that the settlement exception review request was submitted successfully.  The status of the request remains INELIGIBLE FOR SETTLEMENT. The Exception Review Indicator field displays a "Y", along with an Exception Request ID.  The Offer Details section displays an informational message indicating that the request was submitted successfully for an exception review:
	Cancel the settlement exception review request and remain on the Details page.
