Import From Loan Product Advisor®
Overview
The Import from Loan Product Advisor (LPA) function lets you import data from LPA to create a new loan in Loan Selling Advisor.
The data imported from LPA accounts for a portion of the loan information required for loan delivery to Freddie Mac. Here’s how it works:
- View the data to be imported. It will display beneath the search criteria. Note: The data from LPA includes the “minimum data points required to save a loan” in Loan Selling Advisor except for the Seller Loan Identifier (Sort ID #402) (This is the same as the LPA Loan Application #.)
- Click import and the data will automatically import to the create new loan page.
- You may opt to complete the remaining loan delivery data by manual entry or via the IMPORT MISMO XML function.
Procedure
To create a new loan by importing it from Loan Product Advisor, perform the following:
- From the Loan Selling Advisor main menu, click LOANS and select Import from Loan Product Advisor.

- The Search for Loan in Loan Product Advisor page displays.
- Complete the required fields marked with a red asterisk (*).
- Click the SEARCH FOR LOAN PRODUCT ADVISOR button.

Import Results
- The Search for Loan in Loan Product Advisor page re-displays with the Loan Product Advisor Feedback Certificate Transaction information for the transaction(s) that met your search criteria.
- Click the IMPORT button. The loan data automatically imports directly to the applicable sections (Closing, Current, Modification and Conversion) of the Create New Loan page. If you do not want to import this transaction and want to manually create the loan, click GO TO CREATE LOAN (NO SAVE).

- Enter the Seller Loan Identifier (this is the same as the Loan Application # in LPA) and other loan data. Note: The Financed Unit Count (Sort ID # 57) automatically imports from LPA.
- Click SAVE AS DRAFT or FINISH to save the loan.
Note: You may return later to edit or add additional data after the loan is saved in the system.
