Inserting an Interim Month

The Trial Period End Date is the scheduled end date of the trial period for loan modifications (i.e., last calendar day of the last month of the trial period including an interim month, if applicable). The Servicer may insert an interim month following the end of a Trial Period to allow time to facilitate the processing of the modification agreement in accordance with Guide Section 9206.16 (b) requirements.

For more information, refer to:

Guide Section 9206.11 - Trial Period Plan requirements

Guide Section 9206.16 (b) - Preparing to close the loan modification; Interim month option

How to insert an interim month by providing the Requested Trial Period End Date

On the Resolve® Flex Modification Template, provide the Requested Trial Period End Date in the applicable data field (column AL) when submitting a Workout Approval request (WAReq) following a successful Trial Period and submit the file via the Resolve user interface (UI) or application programming interface (API).

As shown on the Metadata tab, the Requested Trial Period End Date is a conditional data field and is populated to insert an interim month (i.e., extension of the Trial Period) during a Workout Approval request (WAReq).
