File Upload Error Message Descriptions

Applicable error message(s) for a forbearance extension request display in a red banner at the top of the Upload Forbearance Extensions page.

You must resubmit the Forbearance Extensions Template for requests that contain an error or contact [email protected] with questions.

The table below provides a list of error messages, along with the associated template data fields that can trigger an upload error.

Forbearance Extensions Template Error Message:	What It Means:
Loan(s) are already in review for a forbearance extension.	The loan number(s) that you have entered on the template is currently being reviewed by Freddie Mac for a forbearance extension. Please resubmit the loan(s) after a final decision (Approved or Rejected) has been made.
Invalid loan number(s) entered	The loan number(s) that you have entered on the template: Cannot be found in Freddie Mac's system of record, or Do not belong to the Servicer number entered (loan number is assigned to another Servicer).
Empty File	The file that you have uploaded is empty/blank.
More than 100 Loans in File	The upload file cannot contain more than 100 loans.
Required fields are missing	Information is missing in a required field(s) for loans included on the template. Note: All template data fields are required fields (with the exception of the Additional Comments field) and cannot be left blank.
Character limit exceeded for comments	The following comments fields on the template have a 1,000 character limit: Comments for Forbearance End Date Hardship Reason Comments Additional Comments
Date format is incorrect	Dates must be mm/dd/yyyy format for the following template data fields: Forbearance Start Date Expected Forbearance End Date Date of Last Right Party Contact Expected Date of Hardship Resolution
