Application User Workflows

There are some general workflows and functionality that all users have the ability to access when using Freddie Mac Access Manager. These workflows include:

My Profile

Use the selections under the My Profile menu to access predominantly application user workflows.

Freddie Mac Applications Login

Access any Freddie Mac Single-Family application from within the Freddie Mac Access Manager tool:

  1. From the Freddie Mac Access Manager home page, select the Freddie Mac Applications Logon card. Or you can also select the menu and click on the My Profile drop down and then select Freddie Mac Applications Logon. A FreddieMac.com webpage opens.

  1. From the FreddieMac.com webpage you can select any Single-Family selling or servicing application. Clicking on any application link will take you to your default page for that tool.

Find My Administrator

The Find My Administrator workflow allows any user to input any combination of a Freddie Mac application, role, and counterparty number to locate a list of administrators that can provision a user access to that specific combination criteria. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. From any Freddie Mac Access Manager screen, click on the menu.

  1. Select My Profile drop-down.

  1. Select Find My Administrator. The Find My Administrator page opens.

  1. From the Search Parameters drop-down select any application.

  1. From the Role drop-down field, select a specific role. The Counterparty Number drop-down field appears.

  2. Select a counterparty number.

  1. Click Next. The Administrators List page opens. Proceed to notify the Administrator(s). Clicking OK returns you to the home page.

Note: Executive Administrators with Primary user rights have access to everything at each respective counterparty. Primary and Secondary roles will have access to the specific counterparty that was provisioned to them by an administrator.

Change My Password

Any user can change and reset their own single-sign-on password to their Freddie Mac applications/tools. (This function differs from the Reset User Password workflow where administrators have the ability to reset a user's password and send a temporary password to the user). Follow the steps below to update your own password.

Note:  Most Application Users will select the "Forgot Your Password?" link from any Freddie Mac application/tool login page. This will point them directly to Freddie Mac Access Manager Password Reset page to enter their ID and then answer security questions. Users can also reset their passwords by following the steps below.

  1. From any Freddie Mac Access Manager screen, click on the menu.

  1. From menu, select My Profile. The drop-down opens.

  2. From the drop-down menu, select Change My Password. The Change My Password page opens.

  1. Use the instructions shown below to create a strong password. Enter a new password and confirm by retyping the same password in the respective fields shown below.

  1. Click Next. The Confirm Request page opens.

  1. Click Submit to complete password reset request.

Update My Profile

The Update My Profile workflow allows any user to update his or her profile. If an administrator needs to update an Application User’s profile, then the administrator would use the Modify User Profile workflow which provides limited user profile update capability.  To modify your own user profile, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Home page, click the menu.

  1. In the drop-down menu, click My Profile.

  1. In the My Profile drop-down menu or from the home page, click Update My Profile. The Update My Profile page opens.

  1. The user can update most fields shown below. The User ID, Email Domain, and Company Name fields cannot be updated. Executive Administrators with Primary Administrator rights are able to update their User Title and Admin Type as shown below. Note: All users can update their own User Title but not Admin Type.

  2. Click the Submit button to continue. Once the request is submitted, you will be redirected to the home page.

Setup My Security Profile

The Setup My Security Profile workflow is available to all users. Use this to set up your own security profile questions that will be used to authenticate when you request changes to your single-sign-on password.

  1. From the Home page, click the menu.

  1. In the drop-down menu, click My Profile.

  1. In the My Profile drop-down menu or from the home page, click Set Up My Security Profile.

  1. Use the instructions shown below to select five security questions from each drop-down menu and then enter an answer in the fields provided. Click the Submit button to continue.

  1. Review the security questions and answers to ensure that they are set up correctly. If they are not correct, click the Back button to go back and update the authentication questions. If everything is correct, click the Submit button to continue.  Once the request is submitted, you will be redirected to the home page.

Note: Upon any request to update and change your password, you will be prompted to answer two of the five security questions to authenticate your answers and allow you to proceed with your password request.
